Honor is a passionate advocate dedicated to amplifying the voices of those who struggle to advocate for themselves. She takes a trauma-informed, transpersonal, and person-centered approach, empowering her clients to feel truly understood while deepening their understanding of themselves and others.
With a keen interest in psychosocial disability and personality disorders, Honor brings extensive experience working with individuals and their teams to navigate autism, intellectual disability, ADHD, polysubstance disorder, family violence, and physical challenges. Honor recently transferred to Ararat Wellness from a Behavioural Support Team Leader position. Her diverse professional background spans early childhood education and care, the youth justice system, hospitality management, and 13 years as a quality assurance analyst in the health insurance sector.
Honor has also been involved in volunteer work, supporting vulnerable communities. She has volunteered within the foster care system and served as a secretary providing support for individuals impacted by sexual assault.
She integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities to support her clients and their teams in improving quality of life. Her approach includes play-based therapy, art therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), strengths-based approaches, somatic therapy, and both traditional and psychodynamic techniques.
Committed to lifelong learning, Honor is currently pursuing a Master’s in Counselling and Psychotherapy. She resides in the Dandenong Ranges, where she enjoys dance, travel, writing, theatre, and music. Honor has a Bachelor of Behavioural Science Majoring in Psychology and a Diploma of Transpersonal Counselling.
