Lauren Walker is invaluable to the Ararat Wellness team, providing essential services to NDIS participants, aged care participants, and private clients. As a Registered Counsellor affiliated with the Australian Counselling Association (L1 ACA), she employs a gentle and collaborative approach to help clients achieve their mental health and well-being goals.
Lauren Walker embarked on her personal and professional growth journey after completing Year 12 VCE in 2011. Her educational pursuits culminated in a Diploma in Counselling in 2018, setting the foundation for her career in the field. Lauren’s commitment to professional development is evident through her impressive list of qualifications and certificates, including those related to counselling, mental health, and safety. With ambitions of becoming a Behavioural Therapist with a keen interest in Forensic behavioural management, Lauren is working towards gaining a Bachelor’s degree soon.
Lauren possesses diverse counselling skills that have been honed through dedication and experience. Her skill set includes various therapies such as CBT, ACT, Narrative, Person Centred, and Expressive therapies. She is also flexible in her approach to meet her client’s diverse needs and overcome any barriers they may experience.
Lauren actively contributes to her community through her involvement in various volunteer initiatives, including mentoring students in a primary school. She also enjoys supporting her family’s business with website design and clerical tasks. Lauren’s interests extend beyond her professional life, encompassing hobbies like case management and assisting others. She also enjoys reading, art, and music as outlets for her creative energy.
Lauren embodies many personal attributes, making her a highly valued professional and individual. She is polite, friendly, reliable, honest, enthusiastic, caring, responsible, and inherently happy. Her willingness to learn and adapt underscores her dedication to continual self-improvement.
